🛑 U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has ordered a halt to all planning of Cyber Command operations against Russia. The directive was issued to General Timothy Ho, who oversees both Cyber Command and the NSA. However, the restrictions do not affect the activities of the National Security Agency.

🤝 This decision is part of the White House’s broader strategy to ease tensions with Moscow after previous efforts to isolate the Kremlin. Last week, former President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but negotiations over U.S. access to Ukraine’s mineral resources ended in failure.

⏳ The duration of this order remains unclear. Cyber Command is preparing a report assessing the potential risks of this decision. If the restrictions apply solely to cyber operations, hundreds of specialists could be affected, but if they extend to intelligence activities, the impact could reach thousands of personnel.
